At this time, my massage services remain on hold as I continue to rehabilitate and regain strength following wrist surgery.
Alongside that healing chapter, my husband and I are also preparing for the birth of our baby—a season that’s full of tenderness, transformation, and deep gratitude.
I’m so appreciative of your patience and care during this time. I’ll be sure to share updates here as my recovery progresses
and when I have a clearer sense of returning to hands-on work.

What is Esalen Massage®?
Esalen massage was developed at the Esalen institute in Big Sur, California during the 1960s. The nervous system and the musculature of the body are attended to with both subtle and deep work. Central to this massage approach is a presence-based touch. Classic long strokes, slow pacing and pauses create a sense of wholeness and deep relaxation. Rocking, stretching, passive joint movement, deep tissue or energy work may be utilized to bring more awareness to any holding patterns in the body. More than just a massage, Esalen massage is a moving meditation for both practitioner and client. Esalen massage is an experience of body, breath, mind and heart.

What I and perhaps you too have come to understand is that forcing doesn’t fix. Instead we may find ourselves further depleted from trying to hastily push through to the other side.
The question is then, how can we allow what is present to unfurl in its own time, while gently tending to ourselves with compassion.

BETHIAH ROSA, CMT
From a deep passion for and experience with the body, I discovered massage. After sustaining an injury that required me to pause my pursuits in the world of dance, I began massage training at McKinnon Body Therapy Center in Oakland, California 2017. It was then that I developed a deeper understanding of the structure and functions of the body as well as the beneficial physical and emotional effects of massage in one’s healing process.
Modalities I offer include: Esalen Massage®, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal Massage and Reiki. My intention is always to meet you where you are at, to stay with you as compassionate support, and to assist you as you progress to where you’d like to be.
